World Hemophilia Day 2020

40Years-Hemophilia

April 17, 2020 is a special day for the bleeding disorder community all over the world, as we celebrate World Hemophilia Day. It is an international awareness day for Hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, where it is also the date of the birthday of Frank Schnabel, founder of the World Federation of Hemophilia.

Today, we launch the “Get+Involved, Take Action” campaign in conjunction with World Hemophilia Day. This campaign is a call out to you to take action and manage your condition effectively. With the right treatment, you can lead active and fulfilling lives. This image represents those who have overcome their obstacles and conquered the challenges that comes with Hemophilia.

It is also a call to action for everyone to help drive the WFH vision of “Treatment for all” at the community and global level. Everyone can play a part— from patients, family members, and caregivers, to corporate partners, Hemophilia Treatment Centre (HTC) volunteers and those who support their national member organization (NMO).

Celebrating with family and friends has always been a big part of World Hemophilia Day. This year, we ask you to stay home and stay safe. We can still connect and celebrate virtually.
